Abraham Rowe

Abraham Rowe is a portrait and editorial photographer based in Florence. He has been working on the MSNHS’s Hidden Spaces Project since 2018. “It is one of the most rewarding projects I am involved with and I always learn something new. Sometimes we go to a location and it is a pile of dirt or a stand of trees or a normal street. It is my job to look at the seemingly mundane and minute details and try to make some kind of human connection as a way of meaning making,” he said. Some of his favorite Hidden Spaces locations include Koger Island and Byler Road and work in minority neighborhoods in Old Town Decatur, West Florence and Hispanic downtown Russellville.
